The Buccaneer 26 is the shorter version of the Buccaneer 28 and is our very latest design. It probably has the largest hull volume and deck area in the under 8 metre class which enables it to have a six cylinder engine installed below the main deck. This feature, together with the generous beam which extends for’ard and aft, provides a completely clear and spacious working deck. It has a broad transom and a flared French style bulbous bow which makes for a dry boat but also helps to increase forward buoyancy to counteract the weight of either a forward mounted trawl winch or net hauler. The bulbous bow aids fuel efficiency and also helps to minimise plunging in a head sea. Two layouts are available consisting of a forward wheelhouse or after wheelhouse version.
The design has a generous freeboard which allows for a 2.5 tonne vivier tank amidships.
Together with the other boats in our range the Buccaneer 26 is available as either a part assembly or can be completed to your own requirements by our highly skilled staff.
